Safari Party for the Adults

An adult Safari Party can be a great excuse to dress up and have a fun time being kids again. You can invite guests to dress up as jungle and wilderness animals, Victorian hunters, or even more exotic Amazon warrior women. You can adapt your safari party to a literary Safari and invite guests to come as their favorite characters from books or movies that feature a jungle or safari type theme. Your party will probably end up with a lot of Tarzans and Mowgli's but you'll find that it's a great conversation starter when people ask each other who they are.

Later on at the party if you find that enough people are dressed in the same costume you can hold a contest to see who makes the best Tarzan or other popular character. Let the guests vote and give the winner a prize.

Party favors for your Safari Party can include plastic safari hats, animal print derbies and even jungle beads for the wild thing in your guests. You can even find those little animal finger puppets intended for kids and hand them out at your party for some fun.

For decoration you'll find that many suppliers feature exciting new ideas. Entire wall murals can be found to decorate your party with, so just look for one with a beautiful jungle scene. They are usually printed on heavy plastic coated mural stock to give it that glossy sheen and comes in about eight or so sections that can be assembled and pasted right to a wall. Keep the mural up after the party or take it down its up to you.

Inflatables in the shapes of jungle trees and animals can add to the safari mood of your party and don't forget to play some real jungle sounds over your stereo system.
